Liz Katz
Managing Director
Liz loves content – finding it, creating it, organising it and presenting it. We think her background as an academic librarian and her post graduate qualification in Information Management helps ... but there’s nothing stuffy about her – or her content management ideas and solutions. She’s also our SEO and online marketing specialist. Her main goal is always to deliver websites and solutions that our clients are proud of and that make them happy.
Matt Katz
Creative Director
Matt is our media production expert. He has a background in production for broadcast media, predominantly for BBC Television and Radio, so broadcast quality production values come as standard at Noisegate. Outside the studio, Matt’s at his best finding new technologies and systems and creating ways of using them within our portfolio so all our clients can benefit. We think he may one day come up with something so brilliant it will change the world ... though he’s also doing a pretty good job in the meantime.
Ben Ablewhite
Operations Manager
Ben really enjoys working out the best way to implement different technologies and developing new systems. He looks after our client training and support services and works alongside Liz to develop effective online “user experiences”. He also has considerable experience of audio and video production both in the studio and on location, with a flexible approach that gets top quality results whatever the environment. Ben truly believes that anything is possible - and always seems to be having a lot of fun making it happen.
Steve Jones
Lead Developer
Steve is without doubt our top technical mastermind. Whatever Liz, Matt and Ben come up with, his task is to build it. Just as well then that he has an MSc in Computer Security from Birmingham University and knowledge of MySQL, Access, PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, Javascript and many other web technologies. Before joining Noisegate he worked at a government run research laboratory maintaining the computer systems being used by research scientists working with data collected at CERN. So, we know our programming is in safe hands. Steve also recently developed our first iPhone app, Acute Med, due for launch soon.
Tracey Coetzee
Administrator
Tracey is good at multi-tasking. She handles our website content entry and formatting, CD and DVD duplication and provides accounts and administrative support. She’s also likely to be the first person you speak to when you call Noisegate. She always knows what the rest of us are up to so you can be sure of a helpful and timely response – as well as a warm and sunny welcome ... even when she’s really busy.
Our freelance team
We have close working relationships with a select number of freelance specialists covering graphic design, copywriting, script writing, video production, music production, photography and PR. We bring in the best person for the job when a project requires a specific skill. Our freelancers help us produce good results time after time, so we know our approach works and it means we can make cost effective use of your budget too.
