Gateway Energy Solutions

Gateway Energy Solutions had grown strongly to become a key part of FEC Services' portfolio, but its web presence had long consisted of a single page on the FEC website. Having worked with us on two previous projects including the GrowSave website, FEC asked us to help them to work out what Gateway's own website should be, do and look like.

We began by running a workshop with the key members of the Gateway team, helping them to define their own activities, created a profile of their target audience, and discussed how a website might be able to support their business plan.

What emerged was a desire not just to shout about their services, but to provide a genuinely useful resource for anyone responsible for managing a business's energy accounts, creating a powerful profile for Gateway Energy Solutions.

Gateway already had lots of great information and resources that provided the basis for us to write their website content, including case studies and news articles. We created a section of news "From around the web" which draws content from other trusted websites, and are drawing content from the bespoke CMS module developed for the GrowSave website to provide regular energy price updates.

FEC Services use our email marketing system to create versions of their weekly Energy Price Update and monthly Energy Byte newsletters for each of their brands.

Gateway are planning to keep growing their website. In addition to news articles, case studies and factsheets, they plan to add a series of reference guides, and have commissioned Noisegate to produce "how to" video guides.
