Dr. Andrew Stein is a Consultant in Acute and Renal Medicine at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. It was while supervising final year students and newly qualified doctors that he became distressed by the lack of user-friendly, appropriately targetted suppport materials, so he decided to do something about it.

Working with then-medical student and nighttime PHP developer Lior Fengas, they created AcuteMed.co.uk, and were delighted by the amount of traffic and messages of thanks and support that they were soon receiving.

As Lior's studies began to create more pressure Dr. Stein began to search for a web development company to take over the hosting, management and technical development of the site. Soon after, we launched AcuteMed version 2, complete with a fresh new design and a few upgrades to its bespoke content management system.

AcuteMed.co.uk has gone from strength to strength, the team has grown, and Noisegate are proud to have become a trusted partner in the project. We'll soon be launching an iPhone app for AcuteMed meaning that doctors don't need mobile signal to be able to use the site, and the second website in the AcuteMed family is in development.
