In development: CMS v3

Exciting news this week: we've started work on CMS v3.

CMS v2 was launched a couple of years ago and has served us all really rather well, so v3 will be more evolutionary than revolutionary. But it will introduce a number of rather excellent new features. The list is yet to be signed off, but early indications include:

• Tagging of content: a super-intuitive way to associate one article with another, giving us a more flexible way of dynamically displaying content
• Amendments to the content categorisation system that will enable us to give CMS users control of sub-categories
• Youtube: a new text editor plugin will make it really easy to embed Youtube videos in any editable panel
• New modules - secret for the time being!

...and many less exciting but very worthwhile other upgrades that will improve the user interface and make things behind the scenes a little slicker.
